Concept: Since the focus for Good Folks was on the coffee, the owner's preference on interiors leaned more toward minimalism. With large, industrial machinery and stacks on stacks of beans, the space was an exercise in functionality. Industrial pendant lights shine onto sealed concrete floors. The lab area (the space where wholesalers are trained on getting the best flavor from their beans) is defined in the open space by a color-blocked floor. A small seating area flanks the cupping area near the entrance, where small groups can gather.
